There’s nothing better for a Landlord then finding good tenants who are clearly looking after your property and paying their rent on time. However, what happens at the end of their tenancy if they’re considering moving?! How can the Landlord try and tempt them to stay in their property for another year?
Housing was top of the agenda for most parties at their annual conferences, which took place over the past few months, with the main focus on housing being made more affordable across the board.
In July this year, the Government announced plans to introduce 3 year tenancies as a compulsory feature of the rental market. This would represent a major change - currently, most tenancies are only 6 or 12 months long, with both landlords and their tenants able to call an end to the tenancy once this period has expired.
